Wedding Photographing is always a mission. Luckily my friend Pete was there to share the load. A delightful event. I am happy for you guys!

Project: Light Box 02

-Lining up, using tape and don't forget to take the photo upside down.

-secure the wood panels togethet using wood-glue and screws.
-Fill the gaps and holes with Wood-filler.
-Strip the light fixtures and re-connect the wires. Try the layout.
-Cover the base with foil sticker to make surface reflective (more light).
-Secure the lights in.
-Tidy up the wire and cover the whole thing up with foil sticker.
-Test. Yay!

One step closer... to freedom

Long week...

Monday: I Didn't wear the cup in Karate class because it is just too uncomfortable and it turned out getting knee in the balls was much more uncomfortable. lesson learned. Hey wait gotta go back to work, deadline to meet... Didn't get home until 4.30 AM but the best part is the cat left a pool of pee on my bed. Have you ever been pissed and also sleepy? I grab a pair of scissors and cut my bed sheet out cuz I really wanna flop and fall as sleep...BUT there is more pee on everything else! I tossed everything out and ended up sleeping on my sofa.
Tuesday: Rainy day...got home...what?Who took my parking spot? Had to to park on fire lane. What is that Dripping noise? Fuck! leaks my in bedroom but stayed calm, I Got some buckets. Once again slept on my sofa.
Wednesday: Got up and buckets are filled and the carpet was soaking wet. Moved the electronic equipments! Called the management! Way too late for work and ended didn't got to work. Oh right...Parking at the fire lane and got a ticket, Wonderful! Went looking for a new apartment. At this point It was Still raining, still dripping and I was still sleeping on my sofa.
Thursday: Got up with a major neck pain (Sofa). Went to work, Checked out new apartment at lunch. Got back to work...what!? Who took my parking spot at work!? Ended up parking on visitor area. Got home...a different asshole took my parking spot...ha fuckin ha laughed at the sky for a bit. When to the security, they put hard-to-get-off warning sticker on and told me to park on this "free" spot. Slept on my wet sticky bed, neck pain was too much...tho it was hard to sleep.
Friday: KNOCK KNOCK, Six men came in to check out the leaks. Good way to get up. Got to my car and found the hard-to-get-off sticker on it. Laughed at the sky again. (If my car got towed at this point I would have turned green in purple pants and destroy everything I see). Late for work= late for home...got home go to bed right away...tired.... very very...tired RING RING...RING RING... Who called me at 4.45am!? Got to voice message from 2 people...wait they are not talking to me...Oh it was that stupid black berry that keeps calling me. Not something I prefer to hear..
Saturday: Got up early for photograph gig at a friend's Wedding in Palm Spring. After all day of photographing and driving, I could only think of a good night sleep. RING RING... the same stupid phone WTF!? and twice!! on the same night!! while I was sleeping!
Sunday: Emailed this friend of mine to get rid of my number and I decided to bitch about it on my blog.
I know, no one died but what an annoying week.

1. -High quality Plywood (I like it strong and long lasting)
2. -3 x Halogen Light Fixture, 20 Watt each bulb
3. -Wood glue
4. -Polyurethane (Protection/finish touch for wood)

Which Head Shots

I am writing an article/tutorial for a CG magazine in UK and picking a portrait to go with it.
My strange sense of humor has been working against myself lately....so....I am thinking No.2 for GLORY!! (If they complain then I will send No.3)
I'm glad I got my article done this weekend thanks to Parkinson's Law. I cut down all the time wasters and brute force my tasks. Ah yes including you, Facebook I will return to you when I have something to market.
I donated ton loads of stuff at Good will today as well. Maybe the man will have mercy and go easy on this shit storm I am dealing with.

Thinking about core... I haven't been to the life drawing nights!? Well I am enjoying martial art now too...it is just as much fun! and it is an art form too right?... right?

Go TEAM

I came across this interesting experiment on monkeys and happened to like it a lot...well enough for me to make an illustration for. I somehow think it can relate to our modern society.

An experiment some scientists set up to study the behavior of monkeys.

5 monkeys kept in a cage, with a ladder placed in the middle of the cage + yummy bananas on top of the ladder.

If any monkey tried to climb up the ladder for the bananas. The scientists would switch on freezing cold shower on rest of the monkeys... as if it was some kind of punishment.

After the monkeys learned that they will be soaking wet in cold shower only when any of them try to go for the bananas. The next time any monkey tried going up the ladder, the rest of them would beat the shit out of him.

Every monkey eventually gave up tried going up the ladder.

Now the scientists switched out one of the 5 monkeys with a brand new monkey. Of cause this new monkey tried to go up the ladder, for the bananas. The result? you guessed it, the new kid got slammed.

The new monkey gave up going up the ladder, clueless. Now the scientists replaced one of the old 4 monkeys with a new one. The same result occured. Who dare going up for the bananas will get knuckle sandwiches.

The experiment got repeated. Finally, none of the original 5 monkeys were left in the cage. The new 5 monkeys who never received a cold shower never tried to grab the bananas and did not even know why...

This is a rough sketch...more to come.

Instant Gratification

We are addicted to certain things only to stimulate our brains and to gain short term pleasure. Often times we fail to realize we can cultivate happiness from within. We give in to the instant gratification knowing that we can be smarter, stronger and have much better life...but wait...Lets make our excuses to do these things so we don't come across as...weak.

the "flow" stage

Go kart racing at K1 Speed today was a lot of fun. Striving for the 1st position can really get your blood pumping. I wonder if the pros in car racing have that "flow" stage where they dont even think about the outcome, just here to drive and doing their best without trying...ya know "the Art of Racing"

Mom day Thingy

A snap shot from Mizuwa Market. These ones are painted by5-6 year-old kids. Gotta say they make me smile. Pure expressions, no competing for perfection and totally carefree. I felt like breathing clean air (that smell a lot like pastel).
I recently just watched "My Kid Could Paint That",the documentary about little girl Marla, butts kicking in abstract painting world. Sales of her work earn over $300,000. Then a number of angry people assume that she had helps from her father, an amateur painter. Conclusions and judgments are left to the viewers.
I think if you doubt that they are not her own paintings or she is not a child prodigy in painting then don't buy the work! There are countless of drug dealers that actually use and abuse children to be angry at. $300k from already rich people? big deal...

Let go

A sketch while I was in a ferry ship in Hongkong. I think I got influenced by James Jean's Art but I was trying not to be... so there was a little bit of internal fights (which mostly lead to poor results) ... However I am a fan. I love his line quality and choices of colors. I am still a little annoied by the Prada animation while back...He did AMAZING concepts for it but I wish "they" execucuted better in the animation :( Check out James's art and you will soon forget about mine http://www.jamesjean.com/

Have you (artists) ever feel like you were doing so well nothing could stop you on a project? (I am not talking about slavery at the office but cranking out on your own beloved project) Anyway, the next thing you knew was beautiful sun rise! You knew if you go to bed then but you wont get up again till the afternoon and you would have vicious cycle of time-offset effect. The only way I know to get off this loop is to stay up until the sun goes down again.

undying love for Sushi

I lose interest easily...BUT if I like something I really stick with it. Sushi is one of those things. Really I can eat these bite size sculptures anytime. Its delicious, healthy, graceful, simple but wait... not simple at all. It requires mastery to make. If I may.. it is Zen on a dish!

"Draw it big and show it to god" Paul Hudson

I remember learning anatomy with Paul Hudson back in college. He is the real bad ass and do know how to teach. I remember drawing out muscles on top of skeleton on top of "the 3 basic forms" and do the drawing marathons over the weekends while listening to him talk about art...yup Paul was Jesus without halo. If he see my drawings now he will most likely hit my hands.

Samurai Style

My friend named it "Samurai Drawing style" because I looked like I am slashing the paper into bits while I draw. I like the result...It has a lot of energy within. plus I like Samurais and I like drawing...nothing to complain.
